About
Our mission
To empower people to safely report wrongdoing, uncover the truth through evidence, and hold powerful organizations accountable.
Our vision
We want a world where access to credible information doesn’t depend on wealth, corporate influence, or institutional power, and where people can report wrongdoing without needlessly risking their livelihoods, safety, or families.
Why we exist
People often see wrongdoing and don’t know where to report it, how to preserve evidence, or whom to trust. Reporting channels are fragmented and intimidating, and they are sometimes run by the very organizations being reported. Meanwhile, allegations online often spread faster than the evidence for them.
We bring secure intake, careful evidence handling, independent review, and public-interest journalism together in one accountable process.
What we are, and what we are not
We are closer to a secure tip line combined with an independent investigative newsroom and a public accountability archive. We are not a social network for unreviewed accusations, a law firm, a regulator, or a substitute for reporting directly to a government agency when the law requires it.
Our promise
We will investigate claims fairly, protect sources as carefully as we can, correct mistakes transparently, and never sell the truth.
