Process
How a report becomes a finding
Whistleblowing needs its own careful workflow. It isn't a social-media post, and it never goes public automatically.
- 01
Submit a report
Describe the alleged conduct, the organization involved, relevant dates, and the evidence you have.
- 02
Secure the submission
The report gets a case identifier, access is restricted, and materials go into private evidence storage.
- 03
Triage and risk assessment
Authorized staff assess urgency, possible harm, source exposure, conflicts of interest, and the right reporting routes.
- 04
Investigate and corroborate
Reviewers test the evidence, seek independent confirmation, and separate first-hand knowledge from hearsay.
- 05
Legal and editorial review
We assess fairness, privacy, defamation risk, and source protection, and ask whether the public interest justifies publication.
- 06
Publish or refer responsibly
We publish a substantiated report, keep investigating, close the case, or point the source to a suitable authority or legal organization.
